Interior design and frozen yogurt mix in magical bliss

The one and only Pinkberry has come to Orlando, and I'm a little late to realize. There's a reason why they're number one, from the stylish and modern atmosphere to the actual frozen yogurt Pinkberry has become my new favorite.

doily rug

project project project, I need a new project!
My next unfinished project attempt: a huge doily
I want one or at least I want to try to recreate it.
Hand woven without a crochet hook.
It would look so cute in my room.

Mr. Girard

After stumbling upon Alexander Girard's panel art for Herman Miller,
I wanted to know more about the man behind the panel. This talented innovator not only created designs for Herman Miller but also George Nelson, and Charles and Ray Eames. He is a true inspiration, and it all started with a fabric collection based off of his architectural training.

TD #16

I doodle in flowers while I wait for the creative urge to strike.
Haunted by midnight epiphanies, wishing they would come in the light.

sunday insight

It's time I started rethinking my favorite songs. Maybe I really don't listen to lyrics because most of these songs are filled with regret and wishing things were done differently. I hate having regrets and dwelling on the past. I truly believe everything happens for a reason. So I'm letting go and releasing any expectations I might have had for my future. I'm setting new goals and realizing that there is a different picture for my life, something new and fresh, filled with a process of creativity and reinvention. Everyone has their niche, it's time I pursued mine.

so green

Interview #4
Skyscrapers freak me out.
I never thought I would say Orlando was a big city.
How am I supposed to survive in an actual big city if I'm overwhelmed here.
I'm such a little fish in a big pond.

polish party

This past weekend we went to Anna's Polish restaurant for some authentic polish food from Anna herself. One taste and I was hooked on this delicioulsy hearty cuisine.

give me a little peace

Not exactly your typical cookie recipe:
no egg, and half the sugar these are like little chocolate sandies.

Recipe courtesy of smitten kitchen blog from a
french baker who's neighbor titled these "world peace cookies".
If world peace could be settled with a cookie, these would definitely do it!

no battery is a no go

Wow I really didn't realize how much I depended on my computer until I could no longer use it. Word to the wise: don't over charge your battery, apparently it weakens it over time, my bad!

There are so many little life lessons I have recently learned that I never knew I had to. Learning doesn't end after you graduate that's for sure. People are constantly changing and expectations are always evolving. Actions definitely speak louder then words, and the truth will always reveal itself in time. If something is too difficult and isn't working out, it's probably not right to begin with. It is so important to cheerish those late night enlightments, and embrace the random creative moments. Stop caring about what people think and dance like no one is watching because in the end no one really cares. And just when you think everything is moving so fast, life has a little way of slowing down just long enough to make you appreciate what you have, because nothing ever comes easy.

interview time

We are brought up thinking that we're unique and special.
In reality we're all just another statistic following the exact same curve.
Got to love cynicism.

sketchy sketch

I love sketchbooks, I can't get enough of them. I'm always on the hunt for the perfect one to write all of my ideas and thoughts in. I need to get a big one so I can fill up all the pages without having my ideas scattered in all these little ones, it's just not working. I need to get organized!

overqualified and unemployed

Interview, interview please be true.
I don't think I have ever had that kind of interview experience, waiting alongside candidates being interviewed for the exact same position.
Economy, economy why have you forsaken me!?
This recession has lasted long enough, it's time to get a move on!

If there were I store that I could live in, it would be Zara.
The clothes are so fantastically tailored and adorable I could own every piece.
Now would be a good time to start that money making career.
