what is your favorite quote?

A wandering traveler visited me today, a lady who has been traveling all over the world analyzing the human mind. She asked what my favorite quote was, it was a difficult question to answer because I have heard so many. What people say really has an effect on me whether they think so or not, so I shared with her the first thought that came to mind "Let your eye lids be your canvas." This quote was told to me by one of my design professors and is near and dear to my heart. Whether it is twelve at night or six in the morning as you're drifting off to sleep or waking up, let the thoughts flow, let your mind relax and process. When you allow your mind to relax you'll find that some of the greatest ideas will form. So thank you wandering traveler, you were a bit odd, but you sparked an inspiring quote that influences my life in a major way.

straight on 'til morning - tessa and the typecast

Time passes quickly while your head is in the clouds.
Filling every free moment with work just to work.
Moving forward without really moving.
Keep moving.

seasonal love

There's a slight chill in the air that stirs up my autumn loves:

silly love song

Silly love songs simply encourage people to pine, but I say it's time to move on.
Sure you could turn your broken heart into a million dollar hit but,
money can't buy you love!

breath of fresh air

It's time for a change, and considering I've been thinking this since February, I think it's long overdue.

decisions, decisions

the glamourai: January 2011: "'with short hair you begin to crave pearl necklaces, long earrings, and a variety of sunglasses. and you brush your teeth more often. short hair removes obvious femininity and replaces it with style. when it starts growing out a little and losing its style, you have to wear sunglasses until you can get it to the hairdresser. that's why you need a variety. short hair makes you aware of subtraction as style. you can no longer wear puffed sleeves or ruffles; the neat is suddenly preferable to the fussy. you eye the tweezers instead of the blusher. what else can you take away? you can't hide behind short hair... you may look a little androgynous, a little unfinished, a little bare... but your face is no longer a flat screen surrounded by a curtain: the world sees you in three dimensions.'

my own happiness project

It's selfish to think that the next person that comes into my life,
has to heal my wounds.

new beginnings

1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, 6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
