getting out isn't the problem

Expectations kill me over and over again. When will I finally reach the point where I just let go? I always thought burning bridges was a bad thing and sort of destructive. I vowed never to do it anymore, and tried to keep my relationships with people close. But then I realized, I have no control over these things. There comes a point in time when everything falls into perspective and you realize God has put a period at the end of this relationship's sentence. No comma to carry on, just a period. Letting you know it's okay to let go. It's okay to move on and let that relationship fade. Everything must run its course, and those little expectations that you once held onto don't seem so disappointing anymore. Life will move on and so will you.

Tunnel vision comes so easily,

getting caught up in the little things

makes it harder to look at the bigger picture.

Distractions in life create this tunnel,

and it's the light that guides us through.

I want to know what's on the other side.

flow in the wind

Lets go somewhere, I have no particular place in mind, so the possibilities are endless. I'm not afraid of getting lost, taking a new direction is a new discovery.

I know I'll find my way back no matter which direction I take, somehow I always end up right back where I started. But the art of getting lost is what gives me enough perspective to head in the right direction.
